CUMASIDE®

CUMASIDE®

CUMASIDE® is a complex of  monosulfated glycosides from the Far Eastern holothurians Cucumaria japonica with cholesterol. This is a fine powder of yellowish-cream color, amorphous, without shine and odor. Dosage form: gelatin capsules containing 0.5 mg of CUMASIDE® are packed in the lightprotecting glass vials with threaded cap by 1, 2, and 5 g. CUMASIDE® is nontoxic, has no mutagenic, embryotoxic, teratogenic, and hormone-like action. In very small doses, it effectively stimulates cellular and humoral immunity in vitro and in vivo experiments, increases the resistance of animals to certain pathogens and sublethal doses of radiation, and has the ability to inhibit the growth of malignant tumors in experimental animals. When taking per os, the preparation rapidly accumulates in various  organs and tissues, and is then rapidly excreted from an organism.

APPLICATION

CUMASIDE® is used to restore immune responses against  secondary immunodeficiency caused by infection, trauma, burns, malignant tumor, complications after surgery, and chemotherapy with various drugs (including cytostatics and steroid hormones).  Application of the drug is important for all cases when a patient needs the correction of the immune status.
